Design Criteria:

The unit simply screws into and most drums,

tanks or vessels for easy local level indication.  

A tape measure with strong magnet potted to

the end is inserted into the tube.  

A magnet equipped float slides on the probe and

follows the liquid level inside the tank.  

To check the level simply

remove the cap and slowly lift the tape out. 

You will feel the tape magnet couple with the

float magnet thus giving level taken from the

reading on the tape.
